The Akapp-Stemmann Festoon is a safe, efficient and economical rope transport system. Transportable flat cables are suspended on trolleys that move around the installation in a steel C-profile with a mobile device (see figure opposite).
Akapp-Stemmann Festoon systems are used for uninterruptible power supply and control of all mobile devices, such as:
• taps
• elevators
• many other equipment for internal transport
• machines or tools
These systems are used in many applications around the world, indoors and outdoors, in a wide variety of environmental conditions.
Akapp-Stemmann scallop system
The special shape of the C-profile guarantees smooth operation of the cable trolley. Therefore, the mechanical resistance and wear of the trolley remain low.
The profiles can also be used outdoors or in dusty and damp conditions.
The wheels of the trolley, when moving along profile C, clean the surface in motion, preventing the accumulation of dust, etc.
