26 new overhead cranes have been installed to improve the efficiency of the production hall at Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH. This manufacturer of horizontal multi-spindle machining centers from Waldmessingen works closely with HAISCH KRAN e.K. from Eschenbach in the field of cranes and lifting technology. Together with the architect Peter Motzer and the engineers Peter Haisch and Tobias Röhm from HAISCH KRAN, a customized solution for handling operations in the new production hall was developed. This solution takes into account the needs of Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH and is at the same time competitive thanks to the experience and components from SWF Krantechnik GmbH.

All cranes were created using CraneKit components from SWF Krantechnik. This has made it possible to create a variety of overhead crane configurations, including single-girder and double-girder, top- and side-connected, and self-climbing options. All cranes are equipped with radio control using 2.4 GHz technology, which ensures safety and ease of operation.

Electric motors with frequency converters provide the necessary power to cranes and lifts. In particular, A-motors are used, which increase speed at low loads, which increases productivity. This ensures precise and gentle handling of the load, which contributes to safety and reduces energy consumption. Smooth movements also extend the life of the equipment.

An additional feature of the new production hall is the presence of crane tracks located one above the other. The upper level operates with four double girder overhead cranes with a lifting capacity of 40 or 10 tons, while the lower level uses single girder cranes with a lifting capacity of 5 or 2 tons. This makes optimal use of space and reduces construction and operating costs.

HAISCH KRAN has already installed the following cranes:

Two double-girder overhead cranes with a lifting capacity of 40 t and two with a lifting capacity of 10 t.
Four single-girder overhead cranes with a lifting capacity of 5 tons and two with a lifting capacity of 2 tons.
Six single-girder overhead cranes with a lifting capacity of 5 tons and three with a lifting capacity of 2 tons.
Four single-girder overhead cranes with a lifting capacity of 5 tons and two with a lifting capacity of 2 tons.
One single-girder overhead crane with a lifting capacity of 5 tons.

HAISCH KRAN will continue to service and support crane systems to ensure future production efficiency.
